Social Work

Hello! I’m a Registered Psychotherapist-Qualifying with CRPO. I received my Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology from Kings University College, and my Masters of the Arts in Counselling Psychology from Western University. As a transgender woman, I am particularly passionate about working with members of marginalized groups and constantly seeking to expand my knowledge of those who have been disenfranchised. I am committed to fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship with my clients and meeting people where they’re at in order to help facilitate the growth and change they’re seeking. Outside of therapy I enjoy playing sports (particularly volleyball), reading, and makeup.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to read a little about me!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO and a Professional Member of the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association. I completed my Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology from Brock University and my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

As we all aim to be the best versions of ourselves throughout our lives, I hope to join you on this journey of positive change and growth. Therapy can feel overwhelming and intimidating at times, however, my goal is to make this experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for you.

My areas of interest include but are not limited to supporting clients who experience challenges with stress, anxiety, depression, concerns around self-esteem/self-confidence/self-acceptance, and improving one’s overall well-being, through building adaptive coping mechanisms and implementing positive life transitions.

I highly value providing clients with a safe, comfortable and non-judgmental environment. Therefore, I would like to take the time to collaboratively build a strong relationship with my clients where I ensure that they are receiving support and empathy.

Outside of therapy I enjoy working out, reading, travelling, and spending my time outdoors in the warmer months.

I am passionate about supporting clients on their journey of healing, growth, and change. My approach to therapeutic work is collaborative as I recognize that individuals are experts of their own lives. I believe that change happens in a genuine, empathic, and compassionate therapeutic relationship. Therefore, my goal is to create a genuine, empathic, and collaborative relationship with clients as we work towards building resiliency, uncovering strengths, developing coping strategies, and establishing hope.

I work with clients 18+ who experience Trauma, Anxiety, Self-Esteem/Self-Worth Concerns, Stress, Domestic Abuse/Relational Abuse, Emotion Dysregulation, Racial Trauma, and Depression. I utilize trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and strength-based lens in my therapeutic work with clients.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, with a minor in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University) and completed the Social Service Work and Early Childhood Education programs at Sheridan College

My main passion is to support individuals on their journey to overcoming their challenges. I believe when individuals are provided with the proper resources and guidance from their community during times of uncertainty, they will have the proper tools to flourish and achieve their lifelong goals.

I have worked with many individuals from various walks of life and have experience supporting them with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, isolation, loneliness, panic disorders, OCD, ADHD, and parent support, MVA’s, working in the geriatric community, specifically those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
